INTRODUCTION
This course is designed for anyone using vertical rope access systems in order to perform industrial type work, including window cleaning, painting, maintenance and structural inspections on artificial surfaces. This course provides candidates with the theoretical knowledge, practical understanding and skills to enable them to use rope access systems to perform a range of tasks in accordance with Australian Standards and Workplace Health and Safety Guidelines.
PREREQUISITES
- Students must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Students must hold a current First Aid Certificate
- Students will require an appropriate level of fitness

DURATION
The Rope Access Operator level 2 course is delivered over 6 days. Training and Assessment will comprise of both theoretical and practical components.

ASSESSMENT METHODS
Details of assessments
- Written theory assessment with multiple choice and short
answer questions. Requires 85% pass mark for competency.
- Day 6 of the course is the practical assessment day which requires
the candidates to run thru a series of Rope Access techniques. Candidates
are required to complete these techniques in a reasonable time frame and in
a safe manner.
- Throughout the course delegates will be continuously assessed
using both theoretical and practical assessments.
- During the course of the training delegates will be continually
verbally assessed by the trainer to ensure they have the required
understanding and competency required on specific topics and scenarios.

maintenance.
- Re assessment due in 12 months.
